Description: The Circulation Librarian position oversees daily management of the Circulation Division at Rowan Public Library Headquarters in Salisbury and manages circulation services system-wide to ensure all staff provide excellent customer and circulation services. This position performs multifaceted professional library work with an emphasis on circulation services, including but not limited to: resolving daily issues, providing direct service to the public, and implementing circulation procedures; supervising several staff members, including scheduling, teambuilding, hiring, training, and evaluating performance; providing system-wide training; maintaining RPL’s Circulation Policies & Procedures Manual; performing detailed clerical tasks; assisting with collection maintenance; Position Description maintaining user databases; providing reference assistance; and other duties as assigned. Evening and weekend work required. Must be enthusiastic, customer-driven, solution-focused, and team centered.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program or comparable degree, two years supervisory and three years customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with the public in a library and knowledge of TLC’s LS2 system preferred.
Salary:$45,700 - $50,200
