Description: Provides leadership, direction and professional guidance in the delivery of library services in Chowan County. Supervises staff of 8. Responsible for all operations and management of a very active county library. Must have experience in library and office technology, library programing, personnel management, budgeting, and computer skills. Must be able to pitch in and help the staff when needed and perform reference and desk duties. Reports to the Director of the Regional Library.
Qualifications: MLS from ALA-accredited institution; three years public library experience; supervisory experience; eligible for certification by the North Carolina Public Library Certification Board; technology skills and high energy. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with county officials, the Library Staff, 3 other librarians and the Director.
