Description: The Digital Scholarship Librarian will be responsible for sustaining and growing digitized and born-digital collections and for supporting the library’s shifting focus on digital scholarship, technology-focused learning tools, and spaces. A major focus of this position will be supporting the Southern Appalachian Digital Collections Partnership. The successful candidate will collaborate across the library to sustainably develop digitization projects that support the mission of the library and the partnership. The successful candidate will be forward-looking, collaborative, and committed to making diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism guiding principles in this work. This is a 12-month tenure track Assistant Professor position. The position will also have responsibility for providing digital stewardship for the library, including planning, assessment of current systems and information architecture and guidance on new technologies and processes.
Qualifications: American Library Association-accredited Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, or equivalent, is strongly preferred; however, special consideration will be given to applicants with advanced degrees in related fields if combined with relevant professional experience.
Salary: $58,000 – $61,000
