Description: The Director of Patron Services (Assistant Dean) is responsible for the proper operations, workflow, strategic and operational planning and budgetary oversight for their area and other duties. Within Patron Services they will oversee the scheduling of operations with both regular staff and student workers. As a supervisor they will fulfill all HR functions, lead department meetings, evaluate library policies and procedures, maintain statistical data and develop reports, plan and assess the needs of the library and work closely with the Dean of the library in meeting the department strategic goals. They will represent the library in faculty committees and in state meetings. Strong communication is required to collaborate and positively advocate for the library in a diverse and equitable environment.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited Master’s Degree. Five years academic library experience with a minimum of two years in an supervisory role and experience with space planning, grant writing, staff development, resource sharing, budget management, advancement, and marketing preferred
