Description: Working in a changing and complex environment, the E-Access Librarian will collaborate with divisions across the DUL system to engage with and sustain activities and projects that underpin stable e-resource access, authentication, authorization, and supporting workflows. They will use expert knowledge of e-resource licensing, access models, and considerations for patron privacy to create and maintain intuitive, accurate, and stable access to extensive online collections across library access and discovery systems to maximize cross-system functionality and optimize all aspects of the discovery of and access to electronic resources. The E-Access Librarian will oversee and facilitate access for a wide variety of e-resources using EZ proxy, Single-Sign-On (SSO), and other tools and mechanisms in collaboration with colleagues in Collections Services, Digital Strategies & Technologies, and the Duke Office of Information Technology divisions as needed.

Qualifications: Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the conceptual, analytical, and interpersonal skills. At least one year of demonstrated, successful experience supporting electronic resources access in an academic research library environment or equivalent.

Salary: $55,000-$67,000
