Description: This position is responsible for managing the Sunday and evening operation of the department without supervision. This position provides courteous service to patrons at the Circulation & Interlibrary Loan service desk at scheduled times and as needed. Providing a wide range of operations and customer service activities, including patron assistance, check-in/check-out of materials, record keeping and collecting statistics, shelving, and student employee supervision and training. This position supervises desk and stacks student employees to ensure that work is completed correctly, good customer service is provided, and rules are correctly enforced. Hires and trains students on tasks and expectations. Creates student employee schedules. Follows-up on concerns with appropriate coaching and disciplinary action. Verifies and processes student payroll. Evaluates student employees. Maintains student employment and payroll files.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
