Description: Youth Services Librarians in a Regional Library have the primary responsibility of providing programs for children of all ages. Depending on the age group assigned, Librarians can expect to deliver between 2-7 weekly programs with support from Library Assistants. Librarians also provide reference and readers' advisory services, work in assigned collection areas and act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the managers. Librarians have the opportunity to collaborate with system peers and managers, as well as to participate in system projects and initiatives. Current opportunities are at the following locations: North Regional Library (North Raleigh,) Northeast Regional Library (Raleigh, Wakefield), and Oberlin Regional Library (Raleigh.)
Qualifications: Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA-accredited program or NC program. No specific experience required. Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted.
