Description: Randall Library at the University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks a Health and Human Services Librarian to serve as a liaison librarian to academic units in the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences and the School of Social Work. The Health and Human Services Librarian is a member of Randall Library’s Academic & Research Engagement (ARE) division, which collaborates with faculty, staff, and students in UNCW academic units to provide information literacy instruction, assist with research, develop the library collection, provide consultative services supporting research and scholarly communication, and partner on programming, in alignment with the information and research needs of campus constituents. Library faculty in this division proactively engage with campus constituents to promote the use of library services, facilities, materials, and expertise. This is an 11-month permanent non-tenure track special faculty position reporting to the Head of Liaison Librarian Services.

Qualifications: ALA-accredited Master’s degree in library and information sciences. Demonstrated knowledge of emerging practices, standards, and trends in liaison librarianship in an academic environment. Knowledge of, or experience with, one or more academic areas within health and human services.

Salary: $54,000+
