Description: The Librarian I Local & State History is located at the Headquarters branch and is responsible for providing advanced library services to customers in the Local and State History Department and at Adult Services Department service points. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of local history collections, providing community programming and implementing innovative ways to make the collection available to the public and may be responsible for training, scheduling of staff and act as Team Lead in absence of Headquarters Manager.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Library Science is required. Experience or coursework in genealogy or family history research methods preferred. Trainee applicants must have completed at least 75% of required course work towards an MLS.
Salary: $40,682.77
