Description: Administration relies on Regional Library Managers to ensure the facility is attractive and well-maintained, the library has adequate staffing scheduled to provide excellent customer service, and that staff provides programs and services that meet the expectations and program models set on a system level. Each Regional Library Manager works with Senior Library Managers to plan for collections, services, staffing, and programs at their location. Communicate system priorities, decisions, and policies to staff in an effective and timely manner; Supervise and evaluate Department Managers Supervise and direct the work of Pages and Library Ambassadors; Ensure all aspects of the library are functioning well by partnering with other departments and administration to accomplish Library goals; Address library collection and staffing needs; Participate in large scale system projects, initiatives, and events under the direction of Senior Managers; Plan and facilitate staff meetings; Participate in peer group meetings.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA accredited program or NC program; One year of experience as a librarian; Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted.
