Description: Do you enjoy providing an outstanding, delightful library experience for a diverse community? Are you detail-oriented, like keeping track of tasks and items, and want to be able to quickly find something? Do you have experience in library cataloging or processing? This full-time Library Specialist position in the Acquisitions and Collections Division of the Library may be for you! The person in this position creates and places orders, performs copy and original cataloging, prepares invoices, assists with selection and weeding, performs some processing of library materials, and may assist with other library functions or participate on library or town-wide teams and projects. They specialize in creating and editing database records, processing orders, and labeling materials. May include sorting, shelving, shifting, shelf reading, displaying, and repairing materials.
Qualifications: Equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the job is required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, minimum of three years experience in public library work, including one year copy cataloging, and ALA ALCTS Fundamentals of Cataloging or equivalent.
Salary: $42,828 - $56,741
