Library Systems Coordinator - Chapel Hill Public Library

Description: Ensures an engaging, responsive, customer-focused experience for all customers through administration of the library’s Integrated Library System (ILS) and associated systems. Requires occasional weekend and evening hours. Administers the library’s ILS and ensures all major library systems are integrated, functional and meet staff and public needs. Extracts and loads data, performs system updates, and runs reports. Maintains interfaces between the library's ILS and 3rd-party products, including in-house developed products, self-service checkout, automated materials handler, remote locker system, and web-based applications requiring patron authentication. Coordinates public printing and computing services. Ensures an engaging, responsive, customer-focused experience for all users. Develops, implements, and assesses procedures towards continual improvement and customer satisfaction; Designs and supports user interfaces promoting discovery and decreasing barriers to access. Supervises staff in the Library Experience Division. Contributes to hiring, training, and supervision of a friendly, flexible, and customer-focused staff. Effectively develops and maintains high performance from employees.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the job.
