Description: High Point University is currently seeking a fulltime Librarian. This position will effectively manage the Media Services Department and provides content related digital support services for High Point University faculty, staff, and students. Manages the Media Services Department, including scheduling, budgeting, marketing and establishing departmental policies and procedures The media librarian works with faculty, staff and students to provide individual, group and classroom instruction in multimedia technology and resources. They maintains and updates the Media Center technology and explores new multimedia software and technologies. The successful candidate acts as the visual content collection development librarian for digital streaming collections. They serve on committees as they relate to the library, the university, and the larger academic community.
Qualifications: We are asking for a candidate with an MLS but would also consider candidates with an equivalent degree such as an MFA or a Masters in Communication or other media field.
Salary: $51,000
