Description: Catawba County Library System is recruiting for an Outreach Librarian for our Library to Go mobile library van. The Outreach Librarian plans, promotes, and implements programs, services, and outreach in collaboration with community partners- bringing the mobile library to wherever there is a gathering of people, travelling to community spaces, strengthening and building our community, and engaging people with positive and empowering experiences while improving our citizen's ability o connect, explore, and grow. We're seeking an enthusiastic networker with excellent customer service, programming, collaboration, technology, and outreach skills, who is passionate about the value of early literacy and lifelong learning. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library Science (ALA-accredited preferred), with 2 years of professional library experience, preferably in a public library. May consider applicants with MLS but less than 2 years of experience. NC Public Librarian Certification (may obtain after hire)
