Description: The Library Associate is responsible for providing customer service to students, faculty, and staff using the Library resources and facility. The majority of work will be performed during the academic year. The Associate provides walk-in, telephone, and email reference services; assists patrons with finding appropriate research resources; troubleshoots and resolves basic computer problems in the Library; performs routine circulation operations within the Mandarin Integrated Library System; ensures materials are accurately shelved; assists with interlibrary loan services; instructs patrons on use of the facility and resources; assists with materials processing, inventory, and resource evaluation; and may assist with training and guidance provided to student workers.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in customer service oriented positions. Knowledge of basic library operations and ability to work flexible weekly schedule (nights and weekends). ALA accredited MLS degree or equivalent preferred.
