Description: The North Carolina Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NCLBPH) provides library programs and services to North Carolinians who cannot read standard print due to a visual or physical disability. The Patron Processing Assistant is the primary data entry position for the department, creating records for 160+ new applicants monthly. Key Responsibilities include: welcoming patrons and others; assisting with record verification of electronic transactions, ensuring that records and reports are accurate, and any changes are correct; maintaining patron eligibility files and paperwork; handling and distributing local telephone calls and greeting and assisting visitors and patrons; answering and handling phone calls; and assisting with other library projects.
Qualifications: High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: $31,200 - $32,780
