Description: The Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield has a full-time Programming and Community Engagement Librarian position available. This position is responsible for developing and implementing programs that foster literacy, use of technology, work/career advancement, social connection, and connected learning and provides reference services to all ages. Position is full-time with work schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
Qualifications: Master of Library Science from ALA accredited school required. At least two years experience in library or public service work desirable. Experience leading and providing library programs preferred. Valid North Carolina Driver’s License. Eligible for North Carolina Public Librarian Certification.
Salary: $36,000 - $46,000
