Description: The Reference & Student Services Librarian is a member of the NCCU Law reference team who works with other reference librarians to provide extensive reference and research assistance to faculty, students, staff, the local bar, and public patrons. Duties include: lead the identification of the research needs of the law school student body and plan services to meet students’ needs; lead the evaluation of software and web resources to develop assessment activities focused on student learning outcomes and research competencies; lead the planning of events, trainings, and workshops that enhance students’ research skills; provide LMS support for students and faculty using TWEN and Lexis Classroom; teach a section of Introduction to Legal Research; supervise and manage reference department student workers; assess students’ research needs and satisfaction with library services annually through surveys and focus groups; and prepare statistical and other reports which demonstrate the unit’s deliverables, progress, and accomplishments.

Qualifications: A J.D. from an ABA approved law school OR an M.L.S./M.L.I.S. (or equivalent) from and ALA accredited institution with 1-3 years of experience.
