Description: MDB, Inc. is seeking an organized, and detail-oriented Information Specialist / Science Librarian to join our team. This position will support projects of federally funded human and ecological health programs. Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple tasks for both internal and external clients. Job responsibilities for this candidate include: using subject matter expertise for research and analysis projects related to environmental public health topics, conducting literature searches in PubMed and Web of Science, creating annotated bibliographies, retrieving bibliographic and bibliometric data for research impact analyses, and developing and maintaining an organizational framework for materials related to environmental health sciences utilizing experience with cataloging and subject-specific taxonomy development.
Qualifications: MSLS or MSIS; degree in biological, biomedical, or environmental science or coursework and/or experience in health science librarianship. Ability to conduct extensive literature searches and compile matrices to ummarize findings. Experience with science-specific bibliographic and citation databases. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and EndNote. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
