Description: Reporting to the Head of Preservation and Conservation Services, the Senior Conservator is responsible for directing the library’s conservation program. This position works closely with the Head of Preservation and Conservation Services on departmental planning and strategy. They contribute conservation knowledge and advocate for conservation concerns in cross-departmental planning, including but not limited to facilities planning projects, coordination with digitization workflows, and contribution to exhibition programs.

Qualifications: A Master's degree in library science or an advanced degree in the field of specialization is required. The candidate must have advanced training in conservation. A minimum of 5 years' experience in the conservation of library and archive collections is necessary. The candidate must demonstrate skill in conservation treatments within their area of specialization. The candidate's skill in conservation treatments should be evident through a portfolio of their work.

Salary: $80,000
