Description: The Senior Librarian for Assessment and Instruction coordinates the Library's information literacy and instruction program, with a focus on assessment of CPCC's instructional model. That focus will encompass creating and coordinating an assessment program that includes qualitative, and usability practices to promote a datainformed approach to achieving goals such as documenting the impact of Central Piedmont's information literacy instruction model on student learning. This position plans, develops, and teaches library and information literacy instruction to a diverse student population; provides instructional support through chat, embedded librarianship, one-on-one appointments, and classroom instruction; assists in training other library staff in classroom instruction, embedded librarianship, and one-on-one appointments; and assesses library instruction efforts.
Qualifications: An ALA-accredited master’s degree in Library science; 3 years of library experience, including library instruction and progressively increasing supervisory responsibilities.
