Description: The Senior Outreach Coordinator manages outreach programs for seniors at our community, including collection development and program offerings at library facilities, community centers and assisted living facilities. Major duties include providing service to both internal and external patrons; initiating, implementing, and managing all aspects of library services to senior citizens, including home-bound individuals; scheduling monthly visits to senior facilities and home-bound individuals, planning themed book selections for delivery to senior care centers, and planning and implementing programs; creating and maintaining database of program participants and maintaining monthly statistical reports; securing and monitoring grants, pursuing community support and local fundraising as appropriate, and maintaining records; providing periodic training for senior care providers; promoting Senior Outreach Program to the community, planning and creating program handouts and brochures, speaking to local groups about program, and setting up displays at community events; assisting in reference department as required; and attending workshops and training seminars.
Qualifications: HS Diploma required. One to three years library experience required.
