Description: The Undergraduate Experience Librarian (UEL) will collaborate with colleagues, including another undergraduate experience specialist, to design, coordinate, and assess undergraduate learning opportunities and services. The person in this position will: provide library instruction and research assistance and develop web-based instructional content, including videos, graphics, and research guides; provide research assistance and library instruction for undergraduate programs such as first-year composition and first-year experience classes; evaluate the undergraduate user’s experience of the library; and explore new approaches to library orientations and workshops. This position will have an emphasis on program-level assessment and planning. The librarian will also engage with partners across campus such as student organizations and residential life. The librarian will participate in collections, serve on the library's social media team,plus other duties as assigned. This is a 12-month, tenure-track position, reporting to the department head of Research & Instruction Services.
Qualifications: MLS from ALA-accredited program of library or information science or international equivalent. Experience providing reference assistance to library users. Experience in creating synchronous and asynchronous web-based instructional content for users. Familiarity with tools and methods for assessing the effectiveness of library services.
Salary: $52,000 - $54,000
