Library Inclusivity & Accessibility Webinar Series:
A Universal Design Approach to Creating Inclusive Library Services (part 2) presented by Renee Grassi
Regardless of their disability status, everyone deserves to feel like they belong in a public library. However, due to a multitude of barriers—visible, invisible, real, perceived, institutional, and personal—people with disabilities do not always have equitable access to libraries. What can you do in your role at your library to help create more welcoming and inclusive library experiences for people of all abilities?
Part 2: Part 2 will share best practices for applying the Seven Principles of Universal Design to customer service, library programming, library spaces, and technology.
