Description: Performs the professional and administrative work of a Librarian, and provides departmental supervision and management within the County Library system. Possesses extensive knowledge of the developmental needs of children, and how to design, implement, and evaluate programs that serve those needs. Provides excellent reference, collection development, and customer services in a youth-focused environment. Able to form and maintain successful collaborative relationships with team members and community organizations. Work is performed independently under the supervision of the Library Director.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited Library program and experience in library work at the appropriate professional level, including experience in Youth Services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
