About the Club

VIP Book Club Basics

The VIP Book Club meets monthly here at the library in Raleigh. We have 16 dedicated book lovers who take turns leading the discussions. Assistant Regional Librarian Catherine Rubin originally started the book club as a joint venture with the Raleigh Parks & Recreation Department's Visually Impaired Program. That's where the name VIP came from. We like to think of us now as the Very Important Patrons Book Club. When the club moved its meetings to the library, we said good-bye to the location provided by Parks & Recreation.

We meet on the second Friday of each month from 10 - 11:30 am in the breakroom at the library.
