Part 1: Managing Patron Challenges from a Trauma-Informed Lens for Library Staff
This webinar is largely focused on developing and practicing skills for working through patron challenges and setting boundaries/enforcing policies from a trauma-informed librarianship lens. This 60-minute webinar will discuss trauma and how it impacts both patrons and staff in a library setting. Also discussed are the six guiding principles of trauma-informed care and how they can be applied in a library setting for the benefit of both patrons and staff. Examples of library services and programming offered through a trauma-informed lens, including examples for supporting both patrons and staff will also be provided.
