SLNC-ABLS is excited to host the Braille Challenge this year in partnership with Governor Morehead School. The Braille Challenge is a competition in which visually impaired students can be recognized for their skill in braille.  It also offers a unique opportunity for the top scorers to compete in the finals which are held in California. Braille literacy is connected with future success in employment and academia. To make this event a success, we need your help! We're looking for volunteers familiar with braille to serve as Proctors.
The National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) is pleased to announce that on Wednesday, September 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. EDT, the Library of Congress will hold a virtual event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled.
