The State Library of North Carolina is offering opportunities for youth living in Halifax, Hertford, Northampton, and Wayne counties scholarships to earn a high school diploma through Gale Presents: Excel Adult High School.

The State Library has submitted to IMLS our Five Year Plan for 2023-2027.  This plan takes into account findings and recommendations from the required evaluation of our current Five Year Plan (2018-2022) along with a needs assessment. 

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources announced today the appointment of Michelle Underhill as the new State Librarian of North Carolina.
