Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of the Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising & Marketing History and working closely with The E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation Exhibits Coordinator, this position will provide curation support for two Consumer Reports and related outreach activities of the Hartman Center. It will also coordinate the packing, transportation, return and conservation review of Consumer Reports archival materials that will be sent to a digitization vendor in several batches over the course of the year. This is a one-year term appointment.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: Two years post-secondary education or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience:
Required: Requires one year of library experience to obtain a specialized knowledge of library systems and procedures; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; able to work independently and as a member of a team; demonstrated proficiency using computer based technology and ability to adapt to new technologies; strong research, organizational, writing, and editing skills; interest in exhibits, digital humanities projects, project management, and/or public history.
Salary: $20.00/hour
